Director of Beechcroft since 1996. Trained and qualified at PricewaterhouseCoopers, followed by a PhD in Geophysics from Cambridge University. He then moved into corporate finance, first at Schroders then at PwC as a corporate finance partner.

“As a business we have intimate knowledge of corporate finance and fundraising at all levels. We advise small firms very clearly so that they can identify the jewels in their crown and what their risks and liabilities are.

“We focus on the needs of our clients in all areas and will ensure that they are carefully looked after by specialists as required.

Beechcroft is especially valuable for firms which do not have a finance director and need that input for their next step forward.

“We help the management team draft a realistic business plan, mentor the team and act as an experienced FD if required.

“My specialist interest is in technology-based companies, those where a degree of ‘know-how’ is required.

“Within the firm, I specialise in technical issues – law and regulations. I also write official Guideline papers for the Institute’s Corporate Finance Faculty, where I am a long-standing member of the Faculty’s technical committee."
